  • Half Value Layer – The "penetrating ability" or quality of an X-ray beam is described explicitly by its spectral distribution. However, the spectrum concept is difficult to work with. For instance, it would be difficult to estimate the average energy of a beam after passing through some object. A more useful concept to describe and measure X-ray beam quality is the half value layer (HVL).

  • kVp reproducibility - Kilovolt peak (kVp) is a technical factor set by the technologist when performing x-rays. Its purpose is to set the penetrating power of the x-rays or the quality of the beam. The number set is the highest amount of energy that an x-ray photon could have leaving the tube. It is important that the kVp setting reflects what is actually coming out of the tube to ensure reproducibility.

DYNAMIC
SERVICE PLANS

Asset 1

Since its inception in 2000, Aray Medical has established a strong reputation for value, reliability and leadership in clinical technology consulting and medical equipment maintenance programs such as Dynamic Service Plan (DSP) pricing.

Our approach is different: we offer a proactive service plan instead of a break-fix model. We apply prevention to the equation by means of preventative maintenance to catch problems before they arise. Instead of costly service contracts that are basically overpriced insurance contracts, we offer DSP pricing that guarantees you won’t be overcharged. You will never pay more than the DSP price. Our difference is you only pay for what you use, not what you don’t. With this approach we have been able to save our clients 30 to 60 percent on an average. That’s more money in your pocket.

Asset 2
